I need to move to Portland. Tomorrow, I think. I cannot miss a single more adventure with Addy. What is life for without spontaneous beach crashing wonderment?

When I was a kid the whole family slept in the car one night on the beach. Dad was too tired to drive home. I say slept, it was quite difficult to do that with my sister asking every 5 minutes “are you sure we won’t drown?” I think she was 6 then.
We got up in the morning and ran all over the beach – the only ones there, shouting “THIS IS WHAT WE CAME FOR, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT”.
Exciting adventure for an 8 year old from the ‘burbs.

What a great story! It’s lovely to feel alive outdoors, sometimes you just need to shout. Ah, this makes me want to sleep outside tonight.

Addy,
What a fun imprompt to trip to the coast. Gorgeous. The first of many Subaru trips.

This was one of the most spontaneous and beautiful weekends ever! And we are so lucky to have such a talented photographer and writer to document it all!

P.S. Twinkies smell like Woolite and taste like crisco.

Ah, but if only they were made with Crisco, they wouldn’t be so nasty! :-p

Sounds like it was a fun trip!
