A quick update on my Icebreaker challenge. On New Year’s Day, I played an ultimate frisbee game and my Chakra top got a little muddy. Actually, that’s a bit of an understatement. We did penguin slides, which is where you run down a field, jump, and slide on your stomach through the mud with your arms behind your back. It you haven’t done this before, leave your house right now and do so immediately, you won’t regret it.
As you can see from the picture, my shirt got covered in mud prompting this question from several of my friends, “How are you going to keep wearing that shirt for a month without washing it?” Simple. Well, maybe not, I may be cheating. I decided to shower in my shirt with no soap instead of using a washing machine, thinking this would be kind of like rinsing clothes off in a stream.
Since showering in your clothes is not the most effective way of cleaning them, I have yet to decide whether or not I have cheated on the test. At any rate, I have worn my Chakra top every day since and it is doing well so far, although it seems to have taken on an earthy aroma. (I know, a bad joke).

your not cheating. As long as you don’t add soap your good to go. The test of the stink free shirt goes on!!
I agree with your assessment that taking a shower is like rinsing the Chakra top in a steam while backpacking and is not cheating. After all you testing the premise that the top won’t smell after 30 days on the trail and rinsing it in a stream is something you would do (or at least something I do).
Alright Carl and Jade, I’ll go with what you two are saying. It’s not cheating without soap.
