Aubrey is not a fan of the Gatorade sandwich

September 1, 2010

I have now field tested my Gatorade sandwich, and it did not do well in trials.  Not very healthy anyhow. I will have to cease all marketing plans for my restaurant called It’s Electrolyte- Boogie, Woogie, Woogie. Reader: That joke was so bad that I’m embarrassed for you. Addy: No need. I’m embarrassed enough for [...]

Becoming the enemy

August 6, 2010

I was recently in an outdoor store checking out backpacks. My Granite Gear Vapor Ki had just arrived, but there was a Golite I wanted to investigate. As I stood there, I overheard a saleswoman helping a father son duo pick out their first packs. She was steering the towards the heavy duty 6 lb [...]

Broken Camera

July 5, 2010

I took it to the store for repair, and they asked me what had caused these problems. I told them that my camera had been dropped many times on backpacking trips, but that I had also been dropped when I was a child and I’m still ok. The man there inspected my camera and told me that my lens is a bit wobbly. I told him that he’s not such hot stuff either and, besides, doesn’t everyone deserve to be loved?

Other people you might want with you for the zombie apocalypse

June 30, 2010

My last post outlined reasons you might want a backpacker with you for the zombie apocalypse, and I thought, as long as we are planning ahead, here are a couple of other people you should probably bring along. 1. Mungo. Mungo covers some important safety topics on his blog. First, before you flee from the city, [...]
